Through child therapy, counseling for moms, and parent consultations, we’re here to walk beside your family with empathy, practical guidance, and hope. Your story matters, your family’s journey is unique, and it is our privilege to support you every step of the way.
What Our Clients Say
“I cannot say enough good things about Marissa! She helped my six-year-old daughter and our family learn how to understand each other again. My daughter was struggling with some severe behaviors and when she started going to Marissa, She really started to understand Which emotion she was having and what to do when she is feeling those emotions Instead of having maladaptive behaviors, she started to navigate her emotions, And it opened up our house for actual communication! But most of all my daughter absolutely loved Marissa, Playing with her and felt like her office was a safe place, which was important to me because at the time she needed an outlet that was not mom and dad and even though that Hurt my heart at first because I thought she may get closer with someone else, I let my guard down And it ended up being so amazing For my daughter to be able to play and talk with someone else Emotions because eventually, when you talk to your kids about things over and over, it becomes like a recording until someone else can step in and be a fresh pretty face! I would 100% recommend dragonfly and Marissa to anyone That is feeling lost as a parent On how to navigate your child’s emotions. She made me so much more confident to be able to help my daughter better. It was all around a great experience for our family!”

Your Questions, Answered
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, any current challenges you may be experiencing, and what goals you hope to work toward. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy—many clients come in unsure of where to begin, and that is completely okay. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin building a plan tailored to your unique needs and strengths. Sessions move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
How do I know which service is right for me?
Every engagement begins with a complimentary consultation where we listen to your goals and challenges. Together, we outline the approach that best supports your circumstances and comfort level.
Are sessions in person or conducted remotely?
Sessions are offered both in person and remotely through a HIPAA-compliant platform.
Do I need to be in crisis to start therapy?
No. Therapy is not only for times of crisis. Many people seek therapy to improve coping skills, better manage stress or anxiety, strengthen relationships, process emotions, navigate life transitions, or simply have a safe space to talk and feel supported. At Dragonfly Therapy, we believe growth and healing can happen at any stage of life—not just during difficult moments. You do not have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to deserve support.
